Major Science Goals at Pavilion Lake
Our research team will continue to investigate the abundance and genetic composition of prokaryotic and viral communities in Pavilion Lake and its microbialites. As well, I am particularly interested in isolating and characterizing novel viruses that infect cyanobacteria and other phyto-epiphytes associated with microbialites.
